Windows Update keeps finding an already installed cumulative update.

    2018-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4343909)

I already manually downloaded and installed the above and rebooted my PC several times.
When I ran the installer again, it said "Security Update for Windows (KB4343909) is already installed on this computer." However, Windows Update MiniTool keeps finding this new update. May I simply hide it?

    Hi,
Windows Update keeps finding an already installed cumulative update.-update1.jpg
Same here. I was just waiting to see what's going on with this. Finally, after the third (auto) installation which took 5 min. without asking for restart, I think problem's gone.

Also, I don't see any WinUpdate error in Event viewer since last(3rd) installation of KB4343909.

Last v.1803, was clean installed 4 days ago and I didn't install anything manually.
So, if you like, just wait...

Last month, my motherboard was replaced, and I re-installed Windows. This month, the same problem happened to "2018-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4457128)". I have reset Windows Update according to this tutorial, but the problem remains. Is hiding the update the only solution now?

Lots of noise about that one installing multiple times.

How many times has yours gone in. Mine went in twice.

You can see from this thread.

I manually installed it once. Auto-update had been disabled.
When I tried to install it again, it said "Security Update for Windows (KB4457128) is already installed on this computer."

    Sorry not following.

So you manually installed it and then re-installed it. The second install was to correct the re-occurring install?

Might I suggest you un-install the KB, turn Windows Auto update back on a let Windows do it's thing.

Bingo! I just successfully installed it via Windows Update MiniTool, which does not find the same update again.

    1. I had already installed it manually.
    2. WUMT found it again, and I tried to re-install it manually.
    3. I could not re-install it because it said "Security Update for Windows (KB4457128) is already installed on this computer."
    4. I successfully re-installed it via WUMT, which does not find the same update now.

    Cool. Something about this update.

    Glad it's sorted.
