Prevent 1803 update without affecting other available updates

    thanks to everyone who answered. I have Home Edition, so I used the metered connection option and downloaded the file wushowhide which only showed Silverlight for now (just like the tutorial).

    What do I have to do now to download any other update except the April update? Do I click on the "Check for updates" button or do I have to wait until the updates appear listed in the Windows update section?

    If you have the Wushowhide set the way you want, (Silverlight is older than me ), and metered and all that, you can click Check for Updates or wait. MS has there own semi-mysterious way of auto-populating that updates screen, so I would go ahead and click it.

    That's done using WUMT Wrapper Script as per this thread:

    The other updates in the screenshot are those responsible for forced upgrades.
