When windows driver verifier was turned on how many drivers were tested?
    How many tests were selected?

So far there have been three crash dump failures.

    Code:

    There are 9 disabled devices.
The drivers cannot be properly stress tested if they are disabled.
Enable these and then turn on windows driver verifier:

There were two spontaneous BSOD on 8/11/2018.
There were numerous power off or crashes or unexpected restarts today.

    For windows driver verifier post:
    a) the number of non-Microsoft drivers checked
    b) the number of customized tests checked

Tested all non MS drivers, which was pretty much just Logitech and ATI. Tested the three items as per instructions. Should some other points be included too?

Curious as to why the dump file creation is failing?

Those devices are my card reader, Bluetooth and a couple of other hard drives with nothing but media on them. None of which should affect the upgrade process. I would have thought if they're disabled they are out of the way and less likely to interfere with anything. I accept that their drivers wouldn't be tested while they're disabled though.

Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    a) verifier /query
    b) verifier /querysettings
    c) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

Crash dump failure is not uncommon.

I was just enabling everything in Device Manager and ran the Scan system for hardware changes while the Bluetooth was enabling and that caused a kb/mouse freeze requiring a reset restart.

Went back in and just enabled things without scanning and it all worked.

I'll start the verifier again with everything enabled and get the copy/paste.

it's very early in the am. If you can post the administrative command prompt commands and results I'll make sure they are correct and then I'll catch up with you another time.

    The customized tests are incorrect.

How come the Intel drivers are not being tested?
Please make sure all drivers that are non-Microsoft are tested.

Ah OK, I think I was using instructions from elsewhere on this forum. I check all the other boxes except those two and see what happens.

With more drivers and more tests there may be sluggishness or slow boot.
It is likely to have a crash as the crash from 8/11 was not yet troubleshooted.

The customized tests are different in the two links.

This link is for the customized tests:

This link is for the methods to turn off or recover from using Windows driver verifier:
