Problem with installing update, KB4284848 Failed

hi all. i have a problem with installing this update.
    i tried these:
    sfc check scan
    disk check
stop update service and removing update folder (SoftwareDistribution)
    checking date and time (automatic)

but still it says updates failed
the only change i remember that is related to this problem was last week that i deleted 3 GB of update files in the "Disk Cleanup"

    Hi, try
    - the Windows Update Troubleshooter
    then if necessary
    - Reset Windows Update in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

If updating doesn't work then, then try manually updating:
    Cumulative Update KB4284848 Windows 10 v1803 Build 17134.137 - June 26 - Windows 10 Forums
(Links at end of article) - assuming you're using build 1803 - but your specs show 1709.

(There's a thread per update per build in the News section)

    thanks for reply
i tried windows update troubleshooter and reset windows update before but they couldn't fix this problem.
and the only way that finally worked was installing the update manually.
but l hope it won't come in future.
    thanks again

In that case it's likely there's something amiss.

From an admin command prompt try running
    chkdsk c: /scan
    and if ok
    SFC /SCANNOW

i did chdsk c: /scan and it was ok.
    but SFC c:/scannow found something:
    Code:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

I contacted to a Microsoft agent (person) and she connected to my PC and started to solve this by changing some services and windows update folder.
but with no success she connected me to another agent (level 2 i think) and he had more knowledge and experience.
he started to change services and finally didn't work and he said we should fix it by repair through windows image file.
i had windows ISO file before (1803 x64). setup started to download updates from internet and after minutes installed the files and finally restarted windows.
and we got that error again after checking for updates.

he said we will document this problem and we will fix it for next update and if it didn't fix, you should do a fresh clean install .

Do you mean he did an in-place upgrade repair install?

(log in as normal, mount the iso, run setup.exe from the mounted iso)

    That's what I would do.
Also a clean boot, and disable any antivirus programs if still no luck.

    (Omit Method 2 Option 2)

And basics: check your disk just to be sure: E.g. Hard Disk Sentinel (trial) or HD Tune (Health tab, error scan).

yes, he exactly did an in-place upgrade repair install but it didn't work.
    i also disabled comodo firewall.
about that link that you posted, i should say i did everything there are (and many others) except updating drivers.
and i'm sure this problem is not related to drivers.
for windows i use SSD. in HD tune there is no error after scan.
in health tab everything is ok. just CRC tab value is 4 (it shows attention) but overall is ok.

    but it didn't work.
Oh- that's really rather unusual. Was there an error message? The precise text would help.
Depending on the failure that could point to something more significant.
That needs fixing as ANY upgrade is the same procedure, and so is likely to fail.

How much free space do you have on C: ?

Does the iso match your Windows build - base language- x32 or x64?
And how did you get the iso?

sory, i mean that after using image file we got "update failed" error again and in-place upgrade repair install didn't solve this problem.
and the procedure of repair install finished without any problem or failure and we amazed why we got that error again.
my windows version was 1709_english_x64 when i did fresh clean install. then i updated to 1803.
i downloaded the file from Heidoc.net with windows iso downloader in 2018-05-05 (Win10_1803_English_x64.iso)
both images were Pro version without any change or edit. my free space is near 250 GB from total space of 460 GB.

I see. That is now not the latest update. Have you tried running Windows Update?
    Latest:
    Cumulative Update KB4345421 Windows 10 v1803 Build 17134.167 - July 16 - Windows 10 Forums

(Updates are cumulative, so you can forget the failing update).

If you try to update and it still fails, you can also try disabling any security solution and a clean boot and then trying again although that should not be necessary.

Have you checked your disk? Hard Disk Sentinel (trial) is great - else HD Tune (Health tab and error scan).

After that you could examine the Windows update logs.
