Windows 10 April 2018 Update wants to install itself again...

Just now on my Alienware 14 laptop, I got an automatic notification to install Windows 10 Version 1803 again, right after letting Windows install it 2 days ago. I currently have no issues with the new edition, and have nothing to gain from installing it again.

I think I'll reset Windows Update, and consider it more seriously if this happens afterwards once again. But this is a first for me, though I've seen it happen for more minor updates. Anyone ever seen this before? Thanks!

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) chkdsk /scan
    5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

Right, the usual catch-all troubleshooting steps... I'm not sure about the dism results, but the "update" is still waiting for me.

I actually do have a Macrium Reflect image, like a week before the April 2018 Update. I don't really want to devote the time for another backup at this state.

Just tried to reset Windows Update. It's reappeared, so I'll go with it this one time and see what happens. Hopefully, I won't have to deal with Recovery Console or Safe Mode.

Ordinarily safe mode is not needed but is an extra precaution.
The Windows update troubleshooter does some similar steps and can be ran.

Reboot was quick and nothing seems to have changed... And it disappeared from check for updates. Oh well, that was weird.

*I'll mark as solved after I know for certain this is gone for good on all of my systems. And will wait for a bit for others to share similar experiences if possible.

It had displayed needs a restart to finish installing.
Sometimes the posted notices are unclear regarding updates.
Whenever you want to confirm the installation of an update the best method is to click on uninstall updates.
If you have the option to uninstall an update then this confirms that it has been installed.
