    Failed to install cumulative updates...

I have had the following cumulative updates all fail to install over the past couple months with WU? Everything else works fine! I'm hoping that if I install the 1803 upgrade it may change my status!

    KB4093107 4/10/18
    KB4093117 4/17/18
    KB4103731 5/08/18
    KB4103722 5/22/18

Assuming you have an earlier build (1607, 1709?) then it's possible you won't get or won't succeed in installing 1803 by automatic update if those fail. Note that some are experiencing significant difficulty after upgrading to 1803. (see reports on this forum e.g.)

You could try manually installing the latest of those (the News section has a thread per update per build with download links).

Otherwise you'd need to do some basic checks and examine the logs if manually updating also fails.
(Disk check, chkdsk, SFC /SCANNOW .....)

If you upgrade (or do an in-place upgrade repair install) you would expect, assuming your disk is ok, that windows update would work.

I am on Creators Update v1703, tried resetting Windows update and today I was notified of an update and it did all the stuff it does as usual but now after a restart it notifies me it has failed and then goes back to informing me an update is available (KB4103731) again and redoing the procedure! Normally after it failed I would just use show and hide to hide the failed update but now the update isn't showing in that tool; anymore and it goes into install mode again!

Now it renotifies me that the install has failed and reloads the download to my PC but just waits for me to restart the process again! Here's the reset program I used to reset Windows Update the recommended version at the top is the one I used!

Try downloading and running the Update Assistant.

    Download Windows 10

That you are on 1703, not even 1709, suggests you've had problems with Windows Update for a considerable time, unless MS has deemed your PC not suitable to receive a further upgrade build.

Please post a screenshot of your Update History.

    Please run
    chkdsk C: /scan
    and report the results.

Then from an admin command prompt run
    SFC /SCANNOW
    and report the results.

    Thanks.

My update history disappeared when I used the reset program. I have been having trouble since April and the KB that have failed are in my post #1 above! I haven't even tried to upgrade to v1803 yet should I do that now?

    Please run
    chkdsk C: /scan
    and report the results.

If OK, then from an admin command prompt run
    SFC /SCANNOW
    and report the results.

    Also report your Windows build:
    Windows key + r, winver

    Thanks.
