    1) For Ccleaner un-check:
    a) Memory Dumps
    b) Windows Log Files

    2) For startup and recovery system failure uncheck:
    a) Automatically restart

    3) reboot after performing step #2

    4) Update the specs in the "My Computer" section.
Enter the information for multiple computers:
System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums:
System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Windows 10 Tutorials
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

    https://www.tenforums.com/profile.php?do=extra

    5) Backup all important files to another drive or to the cloud
    6) Make a manual update with Macrium to make sure backups are up to date:
Macrium Software | Your Image is Everything
    7) Save the backup image to another drive or to the cloud
    8) Make a brand new restore point
    9) Read these links on Windows driver verifier:
Driver Verifier-- tracking down a mis-behaving driver. - Microsoft Community
Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials
    10) Learn the 3 methods using the Windows advanced recovery to turn off or recover from using the tool (including startup options, and command prompt)
    11) Do not use the tool until it is communicated in the thread

    12) The computer has Windows Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299
The failure to upgrade can be checked after the computer is no longer having BSOD.

    13) Run HD Tune (free edition) on each drive
    http://www.hdtune.com/
Post images into the thread for the results on each of these tabs:
    a) Health (SMART)
    b) Benchmark
    c) Full error scan

    14) Open administrative command prompt and run chkdsk /x /f /r /v on each partition/drive. Use the syntax: chkdsk /x /f /r /v C: or chkdsk /x /f /r /v D: and change the drive letter to the applicable drive.
This may take many hours so plan to run overnight.
Find the chkdsk reports in the event viewer > copy and paste > notepad > post a one drive or drop box share link into the thread:
Read Chkdsk Log in Event Viewer in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

    15) 25) Run memtest86+ version 5.01 for at least 8 passes. Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
This may take hours so plan to run it overnight.
    a) Please make sure you use the Memtest86+ version 5.01 with the link below.
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
The testing is done not by time but by passes.
    The more passes the better.
There are a significant number of false negatives if fewer than 8 passes are made.
A false negative is a test pass when there is malfunctioning RAM.
There is 8 GB of RAM on the computer.
    Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing takes approximately 1 - 2 hours /GB RAM
Just 1 error is a fail and you can abort testing.
Then test 1 RAM module at a time in the same DIMM each for 8 or more passes.
    b) When Memtest86+ version 5.01 has completed 8 or more passes use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture and post an image into the thread.

    i have some comments/questions..

    1. CCleaner is not run, its a manual tool, so why uncheck those things, makes no difference?

    2. if i do that, then computer will not reboot and come back after it failed the upgrade.. right? that's not really good.
    or ??

    12) The computer has Windows Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299
The failure to upgrade can be checked after the computer is no longer having BSOD.
?? what do you mean by this ??

    15. We had this issue with upgrade before also, then i buy new mainboard, cpu, cooler, and ram = those things are all brand new 1 month old, updating same issue.. so those things can be ruled out with 99% certainty...

You have any other ideas what this problem can be?
Are you sure we need to uninstall, diskcryptor? i can disconect all those drives when trying to update, does not help..

With software and hardware unexpected things happen.
Failure to upgrade Windows is very often a trial and error process as the logs have error messages and codes that are frequently ambiguous.
One of the troubleshooting steps is to remove all drive encryption software other than Microsoft software.

During the troubleshooting process steps are needed to improve the troubleshooting.
When the troubleshooting is completed you can modify the software and hardware to your preferences.

Dump files are needed and there were none in the logs.
Ccleaner has boxes checked to clean the dump files.
So during the troubleshooting process please uncheck the boxes.
After the troubleshooting process you can reset the software.

For startup and recovery system failure un-checking automatic restart allows the end user to view the bugcheck and possibly the misbehaving driver. There can be unexpected restarts that are not BSOD related. After the bugcheck you will manually restart the computer instead of it being done automatically.

    Common failures for Windows upgrades:
    Outdated or misbehaving drivers
    Non-Microsoft antivirus software
    Non-Microsoft drive encryption software
Insufficient free space in drive partitions
    etc.

When using Windows driver verifier it will stress drivers.
The misbehaving drivers should create BSOD.
With more BSOD there should be dump files for debugging.
With more debugging the misbehaving drivers can be found.
Once the misbehaving drivers are uninstalled, or uninstalled and reinstalled the computer environment should be more stable and more optimal for a Windows upgrade.

When performing Windows upgrades it can be done with or without a Windows 10 iso. Using a Windows 10 iso creates a better error code in case there is a failure to upgrade. Steps can be made to optimize the upgrade. An upgrade checklist will be provided before the next upgrade attempt.

Find a flash drive that you can format ( > or = 8 GB)
Create a bootable Windows 10 iso:
    Download Windows 10

If the Windows upgrade fails after optimizing the drivers and uninstalling any incompatible software then the Windows upgrade failure logs can be troubleshooted. These are the Panther logs. This can be a tedious process as the files have error messages and codes that are frequently ambiguous.

Having a Macrium backup an option for a failed Windows upgrade is to clean install and restore the image. Applications will need to be reinstalled.

When using Windows driver verifier the computer may become very sluggish and may have a very slow boot.
Windows driver verifier has customized settings and these settings can be modified.
For each BSOD you will see a BSOD Window and the computer will keep producing BSOD until you can disable or turn off Windows driver verifier.
The tool will be used for 48 hours.
Then after the last BSOD it will be used for an additional 36 hours of typical computer use.
If there are no longer any BSOD that will complete the use of the tool.
There are 3 methods used to disable or recover from using the tool and all are performed using the Windows advanced troubleshooting menu.
    a) startup options (not startup repair) > click reset > select #6 safe mode with command prompt > type:
    verifier /reset
    b) command prompt > opens a black box with title bar: Administrator: X:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe > and prompt displaying: X:\Sources> > type:
    verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail
    c) system restore
The steps to turn off the tool should be done in the order above. Advance to the next step only if the prior step fails.
System restore often leads to a loss of the dump file. Without the dump files little progress is made in the troubleshooting.

Do not use Windows driver yet. and wait for the communication in the thread. Please read the links so that you are prepared to use the tool after the steps in post #7 are completed.

    Update i fix my issue...
i was trying to find out what exactly wat was making this problem, and did not want to do all the things you ask, so i google around and found some videos telling me there is a simple way that works 75 of the times, to see whats wrong is in your mini-dump file.

to make it work i had to change setting in minidump to small size and wanted to also check what was in the folder, there was no folder, so i made a folder.

I then rand the win update again so i could get a dump to analyses here: http://www.osronline.com/page.cfm?name=Analyze

But now everything worked installed everything no problems!
    Why i don't know.. but that's what i did..

video on how to look in minidump and have it analyzed was here Is Your Computer Crashing? Find Out Why in 5 min. - YouTube
