April 2018 update seems to have broken the mail app

The April 2018 update installed today on its own. I launched my mail app and it did not function. Apparently I needed to give permission for mail to access my email (not sure why that would have changed since it worked before).

The main problem is that my several email accounts are all gone. Two of them are listed under accounts (that open up on the right side) but one does not function--actually neither seem to function properly however one of them specifically says that it "can't get mail". Normally I would just reconfigure all of my email accounts, but if there is a setting that has broken something I would rather do that instead.

I use Windows Live Mail with the local cable company's internet mail service. No issues after the v.1803 update. System did automatically "rebuild" WLM after the final update restart.

This is exactly why I don't use the mail app....most of us think it is crap and use a true email client (email software).
