Update history disappeared

Interesting UPDATE from Microsoft, seems that by updating Windows defender today they managed to cause issues,,,

Just noticed this.... please try...

Type "Windows Defender" in Cortana search and then "Windows defender settings"

You should see this

Then click on "Virus and threat protection" ...Do you get this....

I am logged in as administrator and a power off/on (not sleep) fixes it all again...

Well done Microsoft lol..... Glad it's not just me... see what they do to fix it, more important how fast?

AMDMan2016 try it again when you power down the PC and restart, like mine it will probably work again

Yep..thats it, now check for updates and see if that blocks it lol

What will be interesting is if they have broken Windows update how do they fix it when it is broken :)

Interesting.... checked the Windows Update History when I powered on, still blank.... Just done today's updates and look...... INC a few more :) the issue in post 11 seems to still be there though.... Damn fast fix for Microsoft lol

Not for me it isn't. I had it in 17134.1, but it now works correctly in 17134.48

Oh, and all my update history has returned too.

@bo elam, I can confirm that the 'page not available' message must have been a bug in 17134.1, I was seeing it too despite Defender not being disabled. In fact, I just use Defender and have no third-party AV of any sort installed. The message doesn't appear now I have the update to 17134.48.
