Strange issue, I have just checked Windows update area in version 1803, last night I had the feature update listed and 2 driver updates but for some reason this morning it is blank... any idea what happened to the 3 items listed?
I have run disk cleanup but cannot remember clicking anything I should not...
Yah...it's gone on mine as well. I just thought it was MS revamping it.
Also....it's added the definitions updates. So now you can see the listed updates for Defender.
There is a good reason to clear update history when a new Feature update is Installed (via WU).
This is that any updates that were in place were either included in the new release or were only temporary fixes to since fixed issues.
However there does appear to be an issue which I think is down to an incomplete change from the old settings via Control Panel to the new settings method, The update list is still visible through the control panel but as noted the links for this in the new system are not yet completed ( enough to make the menus disappear and reset
I know that when a feature update is installed it removed all the updates for the old version, but I had one saying the feature update was installed on Friday, and two drivers updated at the same time, this is now blank, but no idea what would cause this overnight..
Defender update maybe? I had one earlier, and now my Update history blank on 1803, well as long as it updates properly, guess blank update history not too big of a deal
Odd issue, I use Kaspersky as internet security, when I first power on the notebook I can right click or double click the Kaspersky icon on the taskbar... If I run Windows update I can't I have to use the desktop icon... I think there was a major issue with the defender update earlier today which has not only broken the Kaspersky icon (all others work OK) but also Windows update...Good old Microsoft... .
Well Was using Avast Free, but can't even get Behavior Shield to activate even after a clean install of Avast Free, so finally I ripped it out and sticking with Defender. Too much trouble trying to trouble shoot, reinstall, hope works, fail again, remove, clean up left overs, just too much trouble. Don't know if was broken before I tried to reinstall Avast with Defender update or something else.
Will see how Patch Tuesday goes tomorrow, and go from there
