    Windows Update set to Manual

If you have Windows Updates set to manual in "Services" does this mean that Windows will NOT automatically check for updates?

I just checked Services on my pc. Under 'Startup type' Windows update is listed as 'Manual (Trigger Start)'. It seems to check for updates just fine.

Ok, thank you. I was hoping perhaps that meant Windows Update would not start unless I started it manually. I liked that better than the way they have it now,

Settings>Update & Security>Update Settings should show you if Windows Update will automatically check for updates.

I misunderstood - I believe there are posts here about stopping automatic checking for updates.
