2018-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 install problem

I have attempted to install this update multiple times, clicking the "restart now" button in Windows Update, but after the system reboots it says the update wasn't installed.

    2018-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4093112)

I downloaded the installer from Microsoft to install it manually, but when I run the file it says the update is already installed! Not sure how to proceed. TIA for help with this.

At this time you may be able to upgrade to Windows 10 version 1803.
Can you attempt the upgrade and report the results into the thread?
If there are any Windows upgrade error messages or error codes please place them into the thread.

Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

I went ahead and updated to v1803 using a DVD. The update completed without incident and so far the computer is running smoothly. It's a relief to no longer have that stuck update. I was a little worried about having issues with 1803 after reading about various problems some folks are having, but so far none to report.
