Sorry to ask, but it's not clear from your post: have you tried downloading and installing KB4093112 manually? What about trying WUMT, which often works when WU will not? Have you worked your way through the TenForums Reset Windows Update tutorial? Hard to recommend a course of action when we don't know what you've tried to do to fix the issue. Know you're a long-time regular here, but still need more info, please!
Thanks in advance for your added details.
    Best wishes, too.

I was having some issues with update similar to this last night. Installing KB4093112 manually seems to have more or less fixed them for me.

    Hi Ed,
Sorry I didn't include more info in my first post; I kept it very compact =)
I'll go into more details. I've only tried reinstalling the update by pressing the Retry button through Windows Update, multiple times after it fails. I've tried the Resetting Windows Update tutorials before, but I'll try it again after I post this.

I'd suggest downloading and installing the catalog update if your strategies don't produce the desired result. And, it just so happens I wrote a tutorial on that very subject for TenForums: Download and Install Windows Update from Microsoft Update Catalog.

    Okay:
    1) I tried using WUMT (there was also the same error. It was installing, then it said that the install was unsuccessful. I tried restarting the computer to see if it installed anyways, but no. Windows Update still says the same thing like in the screen shot posted above).
    2) I've tried other "Resetting Windows Update" methods other than Shawn Brink's method. I never knew he had this "all-in-one" method that does various fixes. That's a really cool little "bat" file that does many things. I'm gonna hold on to that little utility =)
But it's just unfortunate that this little "
Compilation Of Various Windows Update Fixes" bat file didn't solve this particular problem. I really like that utility though; I opened it in Notepad to see what it does, and there's actually many attempts at various methods to fix Windows Update. Cool little tool. I'm hanging on to this =)
    3) Thanks Ed for the little tutorial about downloading the updates through Microsoft's website. I actually have that site saved in my favorites and I think I remember trying it that method a few days ago, but it still error'd out. (I was hoping this method works when I tried it a few days ago) =\
    4) Just now, I downloaded: WHDownloader (
Windows Hotfix Downloader 2.3) [or in other words WHDownloader = White House Downloader] =D
And I found and downloaded the update file itself: Windows10.0-KB4093112-x64.msu and tried to install it this way. Yet it also error'd out. I attached a photo of the error.
It's so disappointing that I get all these computer problems. I help people with their computer problems, and in return I get all these unfair & unsolvable computer errors, that no one knows how to solve.
    • One recent example is concerning the Search Indexer:
Strange Search Indexer Issue - Windows 10 Forums

God just likes making my life impossible and annoying. It's sad to experience all this in a conscious state of mind. I don't understand why trying to be a nice person, in general, leads to negative outcomes for me. I understand I shouldn't really be posting this, but I want people to understand that I have a crappy life. (That's the reason why sometimes I may be rude in comments or whatnot. It's not intentional nor an attempt at any attack, it's just frustrating. It's frustrating to notice that when I try to help people, I end up making it worse for me, in general terms.)
Anyways, maybe talking about it out loud would help my spirits notice that this is not the way things are supposed to be; that things are supposed to be much better for me.

    Cumulative Update KB4093112 Windows 10 v1709 Build 16299.371 - Apr. 10
    Post #78

I had pretty much the same problem. Following @usikpa fix somehow got the ball rolling, and got results albeit after some 25 plus restarts. Hope you are luckier.

@pepanee: I'd go ahead and try the repair install next if I were you. I just read another thread a few minutes ago from a user here at TF with the same general problem (Updates stuck, can't install a pending cumulative update) who tried this technique and it worked for him. That's a good sign, but not a guarantee, that the same strategy MIGHT work for you. At least this doesn't take very long. Hopefully, it will work. Best of luck, in any case!

Pulcinella: I'm trying post #78 right now. I did the command, restarted, and attempting to install. We'll see if it successfully finishes.
Ed: Yes, that would've been my solution from the beginning (to do the repair install), yet I want to avoid going through that hassle. The reason why I call it a hassle is that every time I did a repair install, many custom settings that I have in Windows 10 go back to the default setting. And that is very annoying and frustrating to re-customize again. I don't want to look around to how to re-do a certain custom setting that I have for certain topic matters. I want to avoid that solution for now. I want to see what happens within the next few days. But it's very annoying to have the idea that I am being "forced" to go through this certain scenario.

    Pulcinella: It didn't work.
I am confused by when you said restart 25 times. What do you mean by that? Should I restart the computer 25 times and try again?
