Stopping the 'Blue Screen' from 'popping up' for Win 10 'invasion'!

Hi Folks,

OK,
So having

1. 'Disabled' all the actions in Task Scheduler/Microsoft/Windows/UpdateOrchestrator
2. And then
3. 'Disabled' all the actions in Task Scheduler/Microsoft/Windows/Windows Update
4. Next was to Delete the Programs that Microsoft 'secretly' installed on the C drive in either the Programs or Programs (x68) folder which I found using Settings/Control Panel and the Uninstall facility.
5. I also checked 'services.msc' to confirm there that the 'Forced on me Update' in Windows Update was 'Disabled' and it was, but you cannot be too darn careful!

I still find I occasionally get this 'Blue Screen' comes up warning me of Dire Consequences if I don't get the 6GB of Critical Updates needed!!!

So how do I STOP/Block that from happening please?

Another question, which exact build are you on ? It's possible that it's a discontinued build for which support is stopped. If it's still OEM installed windows, manufacturers tend to install bunch of programs they deem necessary, not seen in standard windows.

If I had written down the '2 related Programs' I found via Control Panel that I didn't install and didn't come with the machine then I could tell you their names, however when I 'Uninstalled' one it also took out the other.

The OEM installed Windows actually came from HP with the machine from new.
Currently the version is 1607.

Upgrade Windows to latest version if it want's to do that and let it install all latest updates and from here on let Windows do it's own thing, or your computer soon end up in a state where nothing works anymore.
If you want something old that blocks all updates, return to Windows 7, but I don't recommend this because of security concerns.

I am sorry but I have to still ask: "Why should I be forced to install something that I didn't ask for when I don't need a lot of the new 'features' that have been included?

My other point is that this update is so full of holes having read a lot of the 'complaints' that it is quite clear that it was shoved out to the market place in one hell of a state which seems to be typical of Microsoft.

A number of computer outlets are also advising to wait at least a YEAR before installing this 'package' due to the number of 'holes' in it.

While for the record I have a machine that is still running XP Pro.
It has not had any Updates for over 2 YEARS and is running as well as if not better and faster than Win10.

While Antivirus, Firewall and Malware is provided by OEM companies in whom I have more confidence and trust than Microsoft.
