Windows Update Fails since Feb 04 2018

I have a new intel computer with adequate disk, memory, processor speed. Computer came with Windows 10 64 and update worked fine until KB4074595 failed. Since then all updates have failed and the computer is in the restart over and over mode. My count is five updates require restart and failed. One of them KN4074588 has tried 77 times it would seem.

One of them implied that Microsoft was working on a fix but this may be too many.

What is the best path to return to normal?

    Thanks

    Try the Windows update troubleshooter.

    Still no luck

Troubleshooter ran and fixed items, then said I needed restart. Now Windows Update reports the same issue of not being able to finish

    In the queue are KB4074595, KB4088785, KB4074588, KB4093110, and KB4093112.

Troubleshooter alternately states there are updates pending and asks me to install or finishes with all areas check green.

Does not show error I can see, just states it could not finish installing updates.

    same problem

    Hello everybody,

    sorry for reviving this thread

I've almost that same problem with my system.

On my system KB4074595, KB4088785, KB4074588, KB4093110 and KB 4103729 (not KB4093112) require restart and failed over and over again (system language is german).
Also the system start needs round about 5 minutes... before only seconds... I boot from a M.2 SSD with an i7.

I have had this Problem for weeks now and didn't found any solutions. My last idea is to re-install the OS ... waste of time !!?!

Has anyone found a more simple and faster solution?

    Thanks

    Greetings from Germany

Try using the free Windows Update MiniTool (MajorGeeks download). I find it not only often works when Windows Update doesn't, after it does work, Windows Update returns to normal operation, too.
