2 W10 PCs updated from W8 have the insiders key, is that correct?

I updated 2 of my PCs. I upgraded one from an activated copy of 8.1pro and another from an activated copy of 10240.

On the PC with Windows 8, I had 10240 on there but clean installed and activated 8pro then to 8.1pro.. Then I used the media creation tool and clean installed 10. But It still has the Windows 10 Pro build 10240 - VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T product key if I run ShowKeyPlus. Did 8 happen to activate with the 10240 key? Will this be an issue in the future?

And same thing on my main rig. Except I had an activated copy of 10. I upgraded from 8.1 using the Windows 10 Pro build 10240 and the VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T key. I decided to just clean install 10 from the creation tool with this one. I figured it will give me a new key or just not work. But it worked and ShowKeyPlus tells me Im still using the trial key. Both of my Windows 8 are legit and bought on release. Should I go back and reinstall 8 and try again? Or is this the way that MS is handling the insider installs? Im just concerned that it will expire. I thought I was going to get a new unique W10 key.

    Thank you

Excellent, thank you. I searched but wasn't confident with the answers.

So if I wanted, I can clean install my main rig onto a blank SSD without issue? It will have same MB, CPU etc, just new SSD.

    Thank you.

EDIT: I did a secure erase on my SSD and clean installed W10.. Activated perfect. :)

I did notice it asked me for setup options 2x while installing, it did that with my other PC, too. Seemed kinda odd.
