    No update history

I no longer get anything shown as Update History. As far as I know updating itself is working fine, automatic and manual checks either show there are no updates available or if there are they are downloaded OK --- there is just no history.

This is one of a large-ish number of known gotchas that sometimes follow in the wake of installing KB4089848. See my blog post from this morning, and the various sources it cites for more info. It's entitled KB4089848 poses widely reported Win10 Problems.

    No Update History

Thanks for the response. I looked at your Blog and followed links. It seems at present there is no clear solution? I have waited to see if an update cleared the issue but after a small update a few days ago it is unchanged. I will wait to see if the feature update this April has any effect on it.

It will, a Features Update clears all the history - it's no longer relevant as it applied to the previous version.

Some previous cumulative updates have been known to clear the history too. You can however check on which updates are installed in several other ways.

In Settings, on the 'View installed update history' page click 'uninstall updates'. There you will find a list of installed Windows updates and their KB numbers.

In a command prompt type systeminfo, the updates are listed as 'Hotfix(s)' by KB number.

Where exactly in systeminfo is this information found?
    Thanks.

Hmm, I thought I had it, but I don't see it.

I opened msinfo and don't see anything relative to this.

Gotta open a command prompt, or Powershell, and type SYSTEMINFO.

Ooooooh! (I did that, but without opening CMD window; it simply opened the Windows msinfo32. (Sheesh! You know, we have "smartphones" and "smarthomes," but they never got around to "smartcomputers." Hmm. No wonder they didn't!)

    Okay, thanks!
