Feel free to ask as many questions as you want.[/QUOTE]

There is a problem in the script when using on Swedish version of W10. The character used in path becomes wrong.
In "Import Scheduled task" it is "%systemroot%\¡¹"
In Task Scheduler the ¡¹ becomes a star character.
    On disk it becomes "C:\Windows\í╣"

    Thanks!

Thanks for your report! I have changed the strange character to the word "Script".
Please click here to download the zipped file again. Tell me whether it works now.

I should not have used a strange character in the script although it works in my Chinese version.

Have you considered making your project public?
The hyperlink to the script is always accessible to the public.

    Does this still work please?

I am very new to Windows 10 and am extremely annoyed that I cannot control what updates I download and install. I have read that Windows 10 Pro enables you to choose update download and install just like I used to do in W7. However these things are fluid and MS changes things all to time so I prefer to ask To be honest I would have been happy to stay on W7 but with support ceasing totally in Jan 2020 I thought that I better start learning to use it at least on my work PC. Thanks for any help or advice in regard to this.

Thanks a lot Matthew I will check it out now.

I just looked at post 171 and it seems to be about "Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online" ?

Command prompt to stop Windows 10 updates in Home edition

I can across this method of stopping Windows updates in the Home edition. It seems to be working but it may somehow "deactivate" the Registry change after an unspecified period of time according to the author of the linked article.

I will monitor it for my own piece of mind and just use the reactivate command periodically to get the updates when I am connected bu ADSL2+ rather than by mobile broadband which has limited monthly bandwidth available.

    The disable update command is
    Code:
    sc.exe config wuauserv start= disabled

    sc.exe stop wuauserv
    and the re-enable command is

    Code:
    sc.exe config wuauserv start= auto

    sc.exe start wuauserv
What are your feelings on this method please guys ?

I already knew this ages ago, but you cannot check for updates when Windows Updates has been disabled.
I have disabled auto-updates but not Windows Updates.
