Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709

    Hello all your great peoples.

I have a problem with Windows 10 update "Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709"

After update Windows want to restart and then i get "Windows Boot Manager" screen where i need to choose between "Windows Setup" and "Windows 10" (See attachment)

D0 I need to run "Windows Setup" to finish the update?
I have clicked on "Windows 10" and then the update always remind me to restart to finishing the update!

    Take care, Hoddi

That is strange Windows Boot Manager should not ask you to choice how you want to start your computer.

The first screenshot you have posted shows that you are only updating Windows 10 with Cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1703 (also known as the Creators Update) so i don't know why you have post this screenshot.

You can try upgrading to Windows 10, version 1709, also known as the Fall Creators Update, using either Update Assistant or Windows 10 Media Creation Tool.

Hi, perhaps you could tell us how you got there...

    For example:
    a. Did Windows try to upgrade automatically?
    or
    b. Did you download a Win 10 iso, perhaps create a bootable disk and start an installation or upgrade procedure manually?
    or
    c. Something else?

I believe sometimes if an upgrade fails, 'Windows Setup' may be created in the boot menu, but as Freebooter says, definitely unusual.

Can you boot normally to Win 10 via the Windows 10 option?
If so, please confirm the Windows version:
    Windows key + R, winver.

You should be able to remove the Windows Setup option in msconfig.
(Windows key + R, msconfig, Boot tab)

    Thanks!

That happens when restart to update is interrupted, if you choose "Windows setup" it should finish update and not show up on next BOOT.
