    Thank you Brink :):)

I unblocked deleted history as you suggested.

I fell asleep when I awoke the circle was spinning. It said your computer may shut off several times. I couldn't get the rest of it.

    #ctl-alt-del didn't work anymore.
So I shut it down. When I restarted it said "Restoring your old windows".

    Fine with me.

After it started this window came up. See screenshot.
As you can "Remind me later" is falling off the edge of the screen. That's because I lowered the custom scaling from 135% to 123%. At 135% I could't see it at all.

Anyway I clicked on it and the window disappeared.

After I shut down and restarted and went online this window showed up see screenshot2.

My question is "Can I leave the computer alone awhile without fear of the updating starting again?"

Well, now I see that white window keeps popping up.

    how can I stop it?

It would be recommended to install security updates when able to. This would stop it. Otherwise, clicking on "Remind me later" should delay it until later.

Since you have a metered connection, you shouldn't have anything automatically download and install without getting a notice like this one first.

Thank you Ivan Petrov for your input,

    I'm deleting c:\Windows10Uprade which is a folder.

Are you saying I should only delete Windows10UpgradeApp.exe which is inside that folder.

I have Windows Home addition so will this not work anyway?

My goal is to stop all automatic upgrades.

Brink did you get my screenshots?

Should I post on General support or Installation and Upgrades.? The latter is where I sent the screenshots.
