Windows 10 shut down after updating

I've never enjoyed this before, but after Windows 10 updated, it shut down. That's a newbie for me. Is there a simple way for me to reverse that and have the computer simply reboot as before after the update?

Mine has already rebooted after an update. I would monitor this issue for the next Windows update and see if it happens again.

I guess that's the only way to know is to wait till Tooney Tuesday, I mean Patch Tuesday. Tooney Tuesday is something they have at Kentucky Fried Chicken, or use to have. Man, I can't stand that when they have something that non-expensive and then take it away. Sure, the grease in that stuff is high and it's not heart specialist approved but to take away that price? Anyway, I'm beginning to get emotional over the whole thing, so I'll just drop it. Seriously, I'm not going to type anymore about this subject.
As to Windows 10 update shutting down this computer, yes, it did just that. But my other two machines, it didn't cause them to shut down but simply rebooted after the update.
So there is no way in the settings anywhere to give the option of shutting down or rebooting after an update?

Not that I know of. Perhaps if you get a little hacky it could happen.

Patch Tuesday isn't a thing with Windows 10. Updates are applied at 'random' times now.

Super! No options then. I feel just like going for a slow walk through the La Brea Tar Pits to get rid of mine anxiety. I also wasn't aware the the Patch Tuesday wasn't Patch Tuesday anymore with Windows 10. It seems so far though, that I've got update every second Tuesday of the month till this last one. Shall we all stand then and have a moment of silence please?
