However, this is an old thread, so be aware of that and any differences between that build of Win 10 and yours.
Have you run the Windows update troubleshooter?

Turn off or uninstall any 3rd party AV you may have running.
Make sure you have at least 20Gb spare space on C: and at least 1Gb of unallocated space on your system drive.
Disconnect any unnecessary peripherals.
Before attempting the upgrade, make sure you have a current disk image of Windows e.g. using Macrium Reflect (free). We constantly recommend people use disk imaging routinely so they have a second chance when things go badly wrong- even disk failure.
