    You might want to rethink that. The greatest amount of improvement in performance from Windows 7 to Windows 10 have been on computers that were horribly slow on Windows 7, in my personal experience. Upgrading those computers to Windows 10 has actually made them much more usable.

    Well that system is single core 1.6ghz Intel Atom, 2gb of ram ddr2 ram, 160gb 5400 rpm drive currently, last time tried 10 on it, was so slow, couldn't hardly do a thing, unless that slowness was related to Avast, but always used Avast for last 14 years on most of the household systems It's an Acer Revo R1600 model

    It is the hard drive that is the bottleneck. Windows 10 runs quite well on 1 GB atom tablets with an mmc drive (basically like an ssd). Adding an ssd and an extra 2GB of RAM will help,but it will still be sedate by modern standards.
