Just wondering, I noticed in previous insider releases that you could continue receiving builds until fall creators update is released. Does this imply that whoever selects this option, will be upgraded to the version of windows 10 general availability in Oct.
When the current build goes final on 10/17 insiders will get what is now called "the Skip Ahead" but no you will not be forced to use the FCU. I was an insider till about 1 hour ago and I still use 14393 and 15063 Builds.
Aww nuts , oh well thought I had a shot. The reason I asked is that FCU will be released incrementally, and I am always last for some reason. Guess I will have to wait until media creation tool is updated.

Normally there's an opportunity for Insiders to "step off" the insider build cycle and stick with the Insider version that gets released.
I think it's quite likely the same will happen again so there would be a window to change to the released version before the next Fast or Slow build comes along.
For example here's how you would have done it with the 1703 Creators Update:

That is the option I was thinking about. I just assumed that it would update to FCU since insider builds have stopped.

Under insider program in windows update, there are several options, the last one is to stop receiving builds when FCU goes live.
