unknown and unwanted photo appearing on screen

I was doing windows update and a large photo/poster of liverpool football club appeared on the centre of the screen. This photo is definitely not in my files so I do not know where it came from. It does not impede using the PC opening other pages or apps as they overlay it, but I would really like to get ride of it. Any ideas please where it came from and how to get rid of it. thanks

Hi laceylou. Welcome to the TenForums @laceylou

If you could help us a little. You said this picture appeared on your screen. I assume this is desktop and not lock screen, correct?

If you look along your task bar are their apps with a blue line under them that you know you are not running?

If you right click on picture does it provide any info?

If you reset background does the picture remain? Start => Settings => Personalization => Background

Hmmm. Wonder where it came from?

If you pretty much right click on any photo you can set it as background but you would have known you did that.

    Glad the forum could help.

Yes, you can even right-click on an image in a browser and set it as the background - that probably explains where it came from
