I guess Red you have too many computers...
I would have to say the same thing. The three of us in my household each have laptops, tablets (2 Android, one iPad) and iPhones. I guess if you really wanted to get technical. My Cisco Gateway and NAS are also computers, same as the Lantronix print server for iOS devices.

I just call mine a Laptop. When I worked, called it a Work Station. Usually Daily Driver is a term used by Car Buffs. Never have I heard of that term used in the 38 years I have been around computers.
actually, almost any video reviewer of smartphones you watch will use the term, and have been for years now. it's the phone they use on a daily basis. some people have evolved it to phablets, tablets and larger computers.

I do not know who has been using that term. It has never been stated in any trade publications that I read all of the time.

In my 38 years of working on computers, not once has the word "Daily Drivers" been used to describe a computing device. Maybe I am just not looking at those magazines pointed to the younger crowd that games, since I am looking at the ones that deal with the IT side and Car fanatics.

I've been wondering why people say daily driver lately too. I'm a nerd who builds who my own computers. Windows is an OS, not a driver. I install drivers from my hardware, I install an OS to operate my computer. "Daily driver" is an annoying term like "selfie". ;-)

Agreed. The term "daily driver" is very common in the Android world, especially for Youtubers and on XDA.
