    Fax/Modem stopped working with Build 16193


    I have an external (USB) connected fax modem which I use regularly. When I upgraded to the latest build, the modem does not seem to work. It is recognized in Device Manager and the modem diagnostics show that it is working correctly.
    Is this an issue with the build or is there something I can do to fix the problem?

    Since you are on the Insider Preview [test] version you may need to see if the maker of the Modem has better drivers.

    Thanks for your reply. The modem was working fine through the last year with the various builds and stopped working with the latest build 16193. I have checked that I have the latest driver.

    I did what I should have done at first - check the connection. As soon as I changed the USB port, the problem was solved.
    Now, all I've got to do is find out what is wrong with the port.
