Get out of Insider updates.

I have gotten in and out of insider builds so often it has become a science. You really have to do nothing. I backup the image of the TP to an external HD and restore the last RTM this time it is 15063.138, My plan is to come back to it every Friday and update it to whatever insider build is ready. I have grown tired of this waiting game. This may not be the right way but I went AWOL for weeks at a time in the past and came back,

IP 16184.1001 is out and so far, even though Windows Update on my laptop says "Your device is set up to get Insider Preview builds" I am not getting 16184.

If I look under What pace do you want to get new builds I see Release Preview so I suspect I am semi out of the Insider Program, at least as far as interim builds are concerned.

I think I will shortly do a Clean install of Creator and go from there.

I'm afraid that you are still an Insider set to get builds.

The Release Preview ring is best for Insiders who enjoy seeing early access to updates for the Current Branch, Microsoft applications, and drivers with minimal risk to their devices, and still want to provide feedback to make Windows devices great.

Anyway, I did a clean install of Creator Update then updates to get to 15063.250 and all is well. I'm out of the Insider prog5ram for the laptop which is what I wanted. Still want my Oracle VM to get the IP builds.

I wonder why they said that the Fast Lane would get builds faster with RS3 than we did with RS2??
