Windows Insider Preview (10162) will not install

Hi - I have an older HP laptop ( 4 GB RAM, a 2.26 GHz 2 Core CPU, Windows 7.1 Home Premium which is up to date, the Get Windows 10 app is successfully installed). I checked with the app to ensure that my laptop could run Windows 10 (it can).

Version 10162 is the version available to download.

I first tried downloading the ISO, burned a DVD, and tried running the setup from the DVD. It would start, the blue box would appear briefly, then nothing. I tried running setup as an administrator, no luck. Couldn't get it to do anything.

I then tried the start upgrade now process on Download Windows 10 Insider Preview - Microsoft Windows
. This runs windows10insiderpreview.exe. The first thing it does when I run it is to check windows update, then it stops.

I have been unable to find anything that might help get the setup working. If anyone has any ideas I would be happy to try them.

    Cheers

I think I found the solution!

It seems that sometime after I started this process this morning Microsoft posted this notice on Home page - Windows Insider Program -

"NOTE: We’re very close to the public release of Windows 10 so we’re not onboarding any new PCs to the Windows Insider Program just now. You can still onboard a supported Windows Phone and please do keep using Windows 10 on any PCs you’ve already set up and sending us great feedback!"
