Windows apps broken( upgrade from 15048 to 15058/15063)

    Hello,

I am having issues with upgrading from build 15048. This build is very stable, but it will expire in two months, and I probably have to update to official when it comes. 15058/15063 builds have shown the same bug - most windows apps( probably like 90%) don't work, start menu tiles are removed( probably because the apps don't work)

I can find the apps through search bar, but they refuse to open, including store app. Strangely PowerShell is also completely broken, it stays blank for a bit and then fills up with gibberish and I can't input anything. Also the builds are kind of laggy.

To fix this I have used the return to previous build both times.

Strange thing is, my laptop had no issues in upgrading, it is just my desktop. Although my laptop's windows is relatively fresh, while this one is probably a year old( maybe more).

So if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. I am afraid that when the expiry date comes, I will be forced to update and break my windows install so that I could extend the expiration date.

Any way to stop the PC from self destructing when 05-19 comes? Because I will be forced to move to the next build( probably RTM) and it might also have this huge bug...

Ok, if anyone is having the same issues, it seems that resetting the data of every sing,e app works( the solution may not be ideal, but it is better than tampering with the OS) so far I have tried to reset 5 apps and they work( including the store) . What is left is to put the apps back into the start menu( they reappear after reset , but not in the tiles section).

Now I have to find a way to reset powershell( not an important application for me , but it would be nice to have it) . If anyone knows how to completely delete the data of that application please tell me :)

Going to mark this as solved and make a separate thread for powershell in general support since this build is RTM.
