Insider Preview Microsoft Mail iCloud Setup Problem

I'm finally trying to switch over to Microsoft Mail provided with the Insider Preview 15058. I've got 3 out of 4 accounts switched over but I'm unable to set up my Apple iCloud email, contacts, and calendar. I tried using my iTunes id and password, and also tried with 2 aliases (and iTunes password). I need to get all my contacts in particular or else Microsoft Mail will be useless to me. I tried using the iCloud setup options and the Advanced IMAP4 setup options. None are working. Any ideas?

Now that you mention it, I do have 2-factor authentication. I logged out and back in to my iCloud account and it did prompt me for a 6-digit code, which was sent to my iPhone, which did allow me to log-in after entering the code. So the problem appears that Microsoft Mail does not know what to do with the authentication and when trying to sync, eventually comes up with the "Your password is out of date" message. Do you know specifically howto set up iCloud with the 2-factorauthentication?

It works! It works! So happy. I set up up an app-specific password for Microsoft Mail in my iCloud account under "Manage". It bypasses the 2-factor authentication! I've got my calendar and contacts. Thank you for the help!

As you get a passcode whenever you access your ID then you have enabled 2FA.

Log into your account & look for security, there you'll be able to create a password to enter into MS Mail.

Hello, I do not have two factor authentication turned on, yet I have been getting this same message in windows 10 calendar and it won't sync my iCloud calendar. It used to work. Any other possibilities?
