Windows 10 Insider Preview 15058 (rs2_release) - Error 0x80242006

    Windows 10 Insider Preview 15058 (rs2_release) - Error 0x80242006


    Windows Update keeps giving me this (Windows 10 Insider Preview 15058 (rs2_release) - Error 0x80242006) when I try to download the latest build, any help would be appreciated. Have tried several workaround to no avail.....

    Have expressed my opinion elsewhere in this forum.
    Windows Store is bug ridden and as such cannot update apps.
    To update Windows it must be up to date.
    It cannot update whilst apps are pending.
    Only suggestion I can make is open Store to update apps.....don't be surprised if you cannot, but worth a try.

    You are correct, there is a problem with the Windows Store app. I just tried resetting and re-downloading but that did not fix it. Windows Store crashes before the download finishes.

    When trying to update the native apps from the windows store, I get an error after it tries to install.

    "Something happened to this app. We're working to fix the problem.
    The error code is 0x80070002, in case you need it."

    It has been fixed in 15058 but that does not help if you are stuck in 15055.
    If you can backdate before 15055 you can successfully install 15058.
