What happened to all the display settings in the latest build 15048???

    Hi All,

I just updated to the latest Preview Build 15048 and wanted to know did Microsoft remove the display settings where you can change the point size for some of the these settings? I can't find them.

Title Bar - Menu - Message Box - Pallet Titles - Icons - Tooltips -

I really like being able to change some of these settings as it made it a little easier to read. If they did remove them is there a way to go into the registry and change them in there? Also I can't change my screen resolution to a lower one (it's 1920 X 1080) to help compensate for not being able to change the display settings as when I click the drop down menu to select another resolution it gives me about a half of a second to choose then it closes the drop down menu box automatically.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks....

For the screen resolution right-click a blank area of the desktop, choose Display Settings. On that panel under Display scroll down on the right to Display Adapter Properties. On that panel click Show All Modes. I'm not getting the closing problem either of my 2 [older] IP computers but I'm using AMD Radeon 2400 Pro adapters.

Unfortunately, MS has dropped many of the text/font size options, including that entire settings page. Here is a tutorial written by one of our Admins showing how to use a .reg file to adjust the size of text.

Read the note under Option #1:

This option is no longer available starting with Windows 10 build 15019.

In option #2, Shawn ( @Brink ) has listed the downloadable fixes.

This tutorial is just for Icons Text Size - Change in Windows 10
but Shawn has listed links to all the others at the end of the tutorial under Related Tutorials

I could not find one spot where they were all listed together, so start with this and go to as many others as you need via the links provided in the tutorial. TC

    Hi Berton,

Thanks for the tip and yes I was able to change the resolution this way but unfortunately that did not get me the results I was looking for.

Thank you sir for the link to this tutorial. Hopefully this will help resolve some of my issues. My last build I was on 14??? and went directly to 15048. That's why I didn't know Microsoft removed these settings until now.

    Thanks again for the help...

Thanks to F14tomcat and 'Brink' for their help here. Man am I glad I searched some and found this thread! I just installed 15061 Windows 10 Pro after joining Insiders program (again) so after being on the Anniversary Update all this time I was disappointed to see the Display settings taken away. Thank God for those registry tweaks found in the tutorials!

These forums can come in real handy.
