Get Insider Builds Notification

I keep getting messages that Insider Builds needs attention.
Also my "Fast" track update box always goes back to slow.
I had to do the ISO to get 10147, what must I do to get the new version updates when they are released.

Is there something that I could have done in the setting for updates to prevent the downloading of versions?

Go ahead and grab 10162 from the Insiders Preview page. You can then update to 10162 directly from the ISO. Various people had issues with 10147 and getting updates. Just download the ISO, right-click on it, select "mount" and then execute the setup.exe and follow the instructions.

Usually an ISO file wipes the programs and data clean. Is there a way to load the ISO without loosing the many hours of work that I have into loading many, many programs in windows 10 for testing?

I just checked the page. It says there that the downloaded ISO will do a Clean Install, which will wipe out all the programs that I have installed to date.

Is there another way to do it?

Mount the ISO, click setup.exe, and go from there for an upgrade (post #2).
