[I]i downloaded the UUPtoISO compressed file on 1/28/17 but never ran it. Were you indicating that it was too late to download it or too late for it to be useful to me at this point?
I just meant probably too late to be useful for you right now in your current situation.

You need to grab the files to make the ISO before doing the upgrade.

If you download and clean install 15025 you can make an ISO of 15031 when it has downloaded the files but before you have started the upgrade. Which is what you are planning by the sound if it.

Good luck with it anyway :)

I'm glad we could help Danny.

If you like, you have a couple of options you could use.

If you know the product key, you could just enter it while doing a clean install to activate no matter which MSA you use.

If you don't know the product key, you could skip entering the key during Windows Setup, and use the same MSA that the license is linked to for activation. Once Windows has finished installing, you could add the other MSA you wanted to use link it to the digital license, and delete the original account from the PC.
    Brink,

I am happy to report that the Clean Install of Insiders build 15025 went without a hitch and i am updated to build 15048 now!

All of the problems i was having are gone and Windows Update is working perfectly which is making my Windows 10 experience a truly happy one again.

As I said, all the issues I was having are in the past except one. Google Chrome. When I found that I couldnt enable extensions and that Chrome would freeze when browsing the Web Store I assumed it was all related to the problems I was having with Windows so when everything else was resolved and the problem with Chrome persisted i did some more investigating. Firstly, I purchased Malwarebytes Premium 3.0 amd ram it. The only thing that came up was 319 instances of a PUP in the Chrome extensions. I know that there was a fihsy extension called PC Converter installed on Chrome but I thought it would have gone away after the Clean Install but silly me didn't take int account that information is stored on Googles servers and as soon as I login it would all come back.

What I need to know is how to remove everything from my Logon account for Chrome from my computers memory as well as the Google servers because MBAM cam remove them but the damage is done to this copy of Chrome as I cannot enable more than half of my extensions and apps at this point. I would like to be able to refresh my synced data anyway.

So you may have noticed that i quoted your last message to me. The reason is that i ended up just doing the clean installation with my main MS account and want to set up a User to be the Owner of this laptop using a different MS account I have already set up for Skype. I will also be able to keep my OneDrive accounts I get from my Office365 subscription more easily separated and organized this way.

You indicated that I will link the new MS account to this laptops digital ID. Where is that and is there a tutorial for it that you could point me to?

Thanks again...next stop; upgrade my HDD to an SSD finally!

I'm happy to hear things are going pretty well so far Danny.

The tutorial below can help show you how to link your digital license to a MSA.

You might see if this below may help with resetting and clearing your Chrome sync.

well, I found that I didn't have an option to add a User Account and link it to the DL and I couldn't use an MSA alias because it would be the same name is the 2nd MSA which would not be allowed. I think I will not worry so much about it and just contact Microsoft to ask what tips they have for keeping those two OneDrive accounts separate from each other in an identifiable to me wherever I access them from way.

for the Chrome issue I think I did what you suggested. I completely unlink Chrome on all of my devices and uninstalled it as well. I downloaded Revo Uninstaller to my PC and did an advanced scan just to make sure anything hiding would not dump back on my PC when I reinstall Chrome. If I reinstall Chrome at all. I have not missed it. Edge is doing a great job with the new builds and I have Firefox to do the things Edge cannot. I also started using Samsung Internet browser on my phone so I have been pretty Chrome free.

That being said I will mark this post as resolved and hopefully when I have my next dilemma you will see my cry for help and be in touch.

    Thank you,

When clean installing Windows Insider build 15025 i chose to use a local account which I entered as a User name only not an email address and lo and behold I was not asked for a product key again after the first time I was asked which i skipped. I later then added my MSA #1 as an Administrator so I could add the MSA #2, link it to the digital license and then delete MSA #1 but that wasn't necessary. As soon as i added MSA #2 it took over the Insider build and linked itself to the digital license and voila became the owner of my laptop!

I am incredibly disheartened by the Chrome problem I am having. I did as you instructed but that made no difference as Sync Everything starts in the background before I can stop it and this happens on the main Google/Gmail account as well as the two additional accounts i have set up under it one being the MSA #2 account and the other being my Samsung account. If i try to download and install Chrome using either of these accounts I get the same problem of Chrome just freezing up even though they don't have any extensions added to them. If I delete the Gmail account that is the source of this problem i will lose all of my Google Play Store apps, Google Play music, one of my MS accounts, my Google photos, my Google + files, etc... and that would be something that is just not acceptable to me.

This is one of those situations in which Google needs to be available for a conversation not tutorials and faq's...especially since this started from me installing an extension from the Chrome Web Store that had no warnings at all!

By the way...all 3 of these accounts work perfectly for Gmail, Google Play, Google Assistant, etc...everything Google except Chrome!

Any help or advice even if it is just to buck up and delete my existing Gmail accounts and start over losing everything would truly be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Danny
