Serious problems upgrading to 15025

I downloaded the ISO for 15025 and proceeded to Upgrade following the same process I have used for all the Insider builds -- and ran into serious problems.

I mounted the ISO file as a virtual drive, opened the base folder and ran setup.exe.

When it asked to include Updates, I declined -- but it still took a little over two hours to complete the Upgrade -- most of that time was spent doing Updates after the initial Upgrade But eventually, I got a login screen, entered my password -- and the ring circled ... over and over and over! After a half hour of no change and a frozen cursor, I shut down the PC.

So then, I restored Win10 from an image backup I had taken prior to the Upgrade and decided to retry it, but this time, I would include Updates.

That was three hours ago! It is still Getting Updates and has only made it to 22%.

At this point it is going to take ALL DAY to do this Upgrade and I can't do without the PC for the entire day.

Is this a byproduct of the "UUP issue", and if so, and I disable UUP and redo the Upgrade, will that go faster?

If there's no way out of this, I'll just have to skip this build, switch to the Slow Ring and hope the next Upgrade goes better.

I didn't update from an ISO. I used the update but it took several hours of "preparing" after it downloaded the update. Probably part of the UUP. If that is the case they shot themselves in the foot.

The UUP sounds great, from the Microsoft blog on it, but instead of shortening the update it is the opposite, so far.

I had to shut down the PC -- after 4 1/2 hours, I needed to get back to using it.

If anyone comes back confirming that disabling UUP will "fix" this problem, I'll try that; otherwise, I'll skip this build.

15031 is the latest build now. It was a very smooth update for me, only about 35 minutes start to finish with UUP on.

Second the smooth bit - having had much in the way of difficulties 15002 thru 15025, 15031 UUP is a great relief.

Well, that was a much better experience upgrading to version 10531. From start to end, took 65 minutes -- a lot better than shutting off the PC after 4 1/2 hours with version 10525!

I upgraded to the 10531 this morning. I started the update and left to "look at the pictures" in the morning newspaper and not sure how long it took, but it was done when I came back to the PC (about 90 minutes later).
