Stuck on build 14965. Can't upgrade to anything new.

Hello beautiful people on this forum. I'm new here but I'll try to be as precise as possible explaining my problem.

Before i begin, I did post more about my problem in Microsoft's forum so I won't go in too much detail here, but do check the link for more info -->Stuck on build 14965 can't upgrade to anything new. SEND HELP PLZ. - Microsoft Community

So about a month and a half ago I had this problem with Windows Update and ended up installing build 14965 from an official ISO and it runs smoothly and stably but since then i cant update to anything newer. Whenever I install an update (via WU or manually from in ISO) and I first log on 5-7 minutes later I start getting random BSoD or other errors (I don't have the dumps anymore, they accidentally got deleted). My laptop just restarts itself sometimes without even displaying the BSoD and is unusable outside of Safe mode. This has happened twice so far, on builds 14986 and 15002 with exactly the same symptoms and NOTHING I do fixes it. All I know is that it's not a hardware issue as I've checked everything on the Mobo but I suspect two nvidia drivers that magically appear after the install even though this laptop has not a single components by nvidia.(nvstor.sys and nvraid.sys are the two in question).

Help would be vastly appreciated and if you have any questions just ask. TNX

    UPDATE 21/01:
Tried the new build (15014) today and it seems to have resolved my issue. For the time being it runs stably but now so smoothly, and those nvidia drivers have not installed themselves this time. I was almost certain they caused the issue but we'll see if it'll stay stable.
In any case, I'm leaving this thread here for anyone who might have the same problem, though I doubt it. I have also contacted Microsoft and they say their devs are investigating the matter so if i get any reply i'll update the thread.
    cheers

    Welcome to the TenForums @StanleyTomas

First if you want to stop auto restart follow this.

Press Windows Key+R, type sysdm.cpl, enter, click Advance tab, click on “Setting” in Startup and Recovery section. Remove check mark from Automatically restart.

Then I would recommend you run the Update trouble shooter to ensure there are no issues.

Type troubleshooting in the Cortana search bar, troubleshooting appears at top.
Click it, window opens, lower right side "Fix problems with Windows Update", click.
Window opens, click on “advance”, click on Run as administrator, click “Next”.
Should run clean. If not run again.

Then to get to the bottom of your blue screens you need to follow this.

Please post in the BSOD section of the forum.

Please read and follow the directions on the very first thread, right at top, it is a sticky. You need to run the tool and attach the zip file to your posting. If you want to add information, until someone responds, please edit your original post. The volunteers working that section action threads with no replies.

They know what they are doing but need you to supply the information. Make sure you either update your system specs within your profile or add them to your posting. Explain what you do to make the BSOD happen, it could very well help.

    @Caledon Ken
Thanks for the reply. I thought no one would even see the thread.
I've done the disable auto restart thing and yet, on build 15002, the PC restarts by itself without even being touched and without displaying any BSoD and/or other error. I've also ran the troubleshooter multiple times and even reinstalled the WU components myself but it changes nothing (mostly because WU is working fine). Once I install the new build the problems start.
As for those BSoD dumps, I had them deleted by accident (oops) and now i have none, but i'll try the whole thing again and post some dumps if it happens again.

On a side-note, did you have and trouble with the install if build 15002, because with me it started normally and after the first restart some random boxes and squares started appearing in place of the spinning dots and text was bold on one line and tiny on the other.

    I haven't installed 15002 so can't answer. Good luck on BSOD's.

There is a driver verify tutorial that may help you. Read the warnings as it stresses machine.
