Yes you are, just as all of us, at what we know best with our talents and interests. e.g. You know bees, whereas most here would be ignorant on the subject. You may know more about a particular part of a system, whereas we others are ignorant. To know a whole system would be very rare, especially since they change from OS to OS edition. Heck, I dare say there isn't one within MSFT that would know the whole system. As with any industry it's a compilation of specialist that know parts.

We humans can do pretty stupid things at times. Heaven knows I have. Trick is to be honest with one self and admit it when wrong. Especially we men with our "fragile" egos.

I upgraded Win 7 to build 10240, I was going to stay in the insiders but I have opted out.

definitely staying in the insider program. i actually think the stupid thing is to opt out, all due respect to our friend with the opposite opinion. being inside the program means you get the very latest in technology to play with, while everyone else sits around in the antiquated systems. lol. no seriously, i believe that there are too many benefits to being in this system to end it. after all, isn't that the reason we are all in it now? also, i have been using this preview as my main system for quite a while now, and it was never too buggy for me to just not want to use it. in the beginning i had windows seven as my fall back os, but i gave up the goat on that a long time ago. also, you don't have to be in the fast ring if you are worried about buggy software. but for me, the fast ring is the only place to be. although, if needed, that can always be changed.
i just can't find a single logical reason not to be in the insiders program. you can easily make iso's to fall back on if needed. my curiosity is way too strong to just use what everyone else is using.

I was practically told to drop out of it. I have many things I can fall back to like a clone of Windows 7. Windows XX is not a one size fits all service especially if you are approaching 70. I have beta tested for the last 14 years, I ran nightly build of Firefox for 10 years. Sorry but it gets quite old after awhile.

I agree that testing does get old after a while and many might just want to use the OS for doing daily tasks rather than spend time testing it. For me I might stay in for a while more but eventually I'll drop out.
