Same machine, one SSD for insider on fast ring and other SSD for RTM upgrade from 8.1 (if it ever goes thru, it didn't yet).

I'll be moving my desktop to RTM/GA, but keep my laptop on the Insider fast ring.

I was an insider but now have the RTM . It took me 6 days to activate it so I don't think I can bare another full install , if that's how it works . I mean if I was to go back to being an insider would I get build updates added to my current RTM build or more full installations .

I have both: Fully up to date Insider on one partition, RTM from ISO atop former windows 8.1, fully up to date, on another. BOTH seamlessly "Windows Update" upgraded on 8-5-2015 the same big patch, at the same time, or almost; I have both of them set to block certain troublesome drivers (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930) and as each is a PRO version, I also have all updates "delayed", which means since it switches back on by itself, like Windows Defender does, that at least it does not try to update when I am in a hurry with the system and would rather it didn't, not then anyway.

POINT IS, the two tracks are at the moment moving in lockstep. I suspect that build upgrades or major facelifts - the sort where it takes hours and user choices are involved - MAY come to Insider first, but what MS will consider which, I have no idea...

Yesterday I moved off my insider build to Enterprise RTM, I've kept insider as dual boot but all the serious stuff will be done on the RTM from now on.

Insiders already have a different Windows 10. Well, I do.

When I go to my lock screen, Microsoft shows an image there, on which you can tell them if you like it or not. :) My normal systems don't have this option yet.

I'm just seen that on my RTM system lock screen.
System has been upgraded this week from 8.1 to 10240, never an Insider (and not even an MS account on it yet).

Okay, so... this means they are just randomly activating this with certain people? I have 5 systems to maintain and only one of them, the insider setup, shows this to me. :) Just my luck then to announce this as an insider option.

I wonder if they switch it on at certain times. I'd seen it before on Insider builds, but seen it anywhere until I saw that last night. My guess is it only appears for a few days, then they'll pause it again.
