Do you have Anti-virus other than Defender?......including Mbam products....if so disable or uninstall.....then try again.

    Hi,

In case you do not use a third party AV program you could try the following:

From a command prompt (admin) shell type in the following commands seperately:

    Code:
    netsh interface ipv4 install
    netsh interface ipv4 reset
    netsh winsock reset
    ipconfig /flushdns
    Restart and resume the download.

Should that not work as expected then this troubleshooter may the answer:

Firtstly I've tried with cmd codes, but result was negative.
Then I've applied troubleshooter which has found following indications and fixed them.
    Windows 10 Insider Preview 14986 (rs_prerelease) - Error 0x80240031-sketch3.png
    But unfortunalety nothing changed..

    Hi,

Firtstly I've tried with cmd codes, but result was negative.
Not surprising since the error code Windows returns is not the same either.

Welcome to the forum by the way but may I kindly suggest to start your own thread describing the best you can what you are doing, please ?
In that way you hopefully get replies pertinent to your particular error message. Thank you.

    Cheers,

Thanking you in advance for your kind interest.
Actually I did not do anything. I tried again to update appears, warning on the screen.
I'll wait until the end of the month, unless the format I threw download and install the update.
    Best regards..

    Dear fdegrove & snifferpro
I applied the options you specify, respectively, but the results are still negative.
I guess it has a different problem.

    Solved that

"Atom bomb solution" WORKED for me:
    - stop and disable "Windows Update" service
    - restart computer
    - delete folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
    - enable and start "Windows Update" service
    - check for updates = DONE :)

If you will have no luck, can try this below, and then repeat step above:
    - "Disk Cleanup" on C: (under Administrator rights)
    - deleted folder C:\Windows10Upgrade
    - 2x runned Windows Update Troubleshooter in Control Panel
