Turns out using an image & copying to another partition on the same drive (wanting to enable 2nd Windows 10 partition to receive Insider Previews) is apparently a no-go due to the fact that your apps will point to the C: drive & will not work on 2nd partition. Furthermore, you will have to enter the BIOS to set which partition to boot to. This is what i've read when doing research on doing this.

I know i could just clean install Windows 10 Anniversary Update version & enable Insider Previews but i'm not keen on reinstalling all my apps to check how installing the latest builds affects them.

If i am wrong (& you are 100% sure) please let me know. Or, if there is another way to go about doing what i want to do, please share your wisdom.

    TIA!

P.S. Just read on this site How to dual-boot Windows 10 alongside an Insider Preview build | Windows Central that you will need a 2nd licence to install Windows 10 on another partition on the same HD (to test Insider Previews)?
