I have this problem too after a fresh install of Windows 10(10130), but it only occurs AFTER I install the latest Nvidia WHQL Drivers: 352.84-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql
Prior to installing the Nvidia Drivers, 10 works as expected (no errors)during reboots.

I'm going to downgrade to the previous Nvidia Beta drivers to see if it fixes the issue.
    352.63-desktop-win10-64bit-international-beta

I finally had time to uninstall/re-install Nvidia drivers, and no change, still getting the error. I'm starting to think the original Nvidia install just happened to coincide with a Win 10 update or something on the same reboot cycle.

After 10130 installed, I had to make a few changes that required reboots, and I did successfully(without error) reboot at least 6 times. Once the error started though, its persistent. Hopefully they fix this on the next round.

Ok so I had a think and thought - is the error because 10130 is being used to update previous versions - so what would happen with a clean install of 10130? - so downloaded (from http://getintopc.com/ ), burnt to disk, formatted drive, installed AND yep you got it - restart/shut down error still there it all it's annoying glory! Now going to do the same with 10125, but I wont hold my breath!

3 hours later and 10125 installed and NO explorer.exe errors on shutdown or restart! - just going to wait and see what happens with 10134 when I can find a download for it, or do I risk a fast lane install?

Hmmmmm, 10130 ISO from ... not MS
doing same with 125 (a leaked release) ... hmmmm
I wonder why you're having problems Brian

Isn't a technical preview enough of a challenge?

Try a clean install with 10.0.074 and then get teh upgrade to 10.0.130 via Windows update - you'll have to change to the Fast lane to get it. Or wait for the next fast lane to drop.

But .... you really should use an official release or update as your base.

Download Windows 10 Insider Preview ISO - Microsoft Windows

Can you try to boot into Advanced Boot Hold down SHIFT+Restart to see if you don't get the error ?

Hi All, I've updated to build 10130 and now every time I restart or shutdown the laptop I'm getting this error.

I've tried searching but haven't seen other examples of a similar issue. Has anyone experienced this and been able to fix it?

I did a clean install creating an ISO from the install.esd and installed onto a clean formatted hdd.

    Attachment 20361

Also noticed that the OOBE crashed on first login as well (has happened for me on every build I've tried so far).

It's not an Nvidia issue, its definitely a Microsoft issue, confirmed with 4 different Nvidia drivers. It still crashes in 10130.
