    Build 10130, No Restore Point

I updated my build this morning to build 10130 and everything on my system seems to be running so nice and smooth that I wanted to create a restore point. When I open the System Protection pane to create a restore point, everything is grayed out and I am unable to create a restore point. Is anyone else having this problem? What should I do?

    Hello Rocky,

Double check using the tutorial below to see if System Restore may have gotten disabled. :)

That little "System Restore Enable" switch is the part that is grayed out.

I followed the directions on option one and that did not work, I will try other options.

If it doesn't help, then go ahead and post a screenshot of what you are seeing to see if it may help to better ID the issue. :)

I've found in the past few versions of Windows 10 (clean install) that the System Restore function is not turned on.

I've had to manually turn it on, with the past few updates.

I went to Control Panel, > System > System Protection > Configuration and set it to ON.

    Works for me!

I have tried every option on the link above, I have downloaded the file twice and restarted my machine, all to no avail. I will try to post a screenshot later, I have to go to the park soon.

Need to access it through the Win + X Power Menu as instructed in post #6.

Just checked and System Restore (System Protection) was turned off. This is after a Clean Install of 10130.

    Build 10130, No Restore Point-nosystemrest.png

I had to turn it on the Configure it and adjust the allocated disk space as it was set to 0. Then I could create a Restoe Point.

Also noticed the Scheduled SR task has no Trigger defined so doesn't look like it will create a weekly restore point.
