    unable to uninstall corrupt wifi driver


    Hi All,
    been battling this for a couple days.
    WU update to latest TP.(friday)
    Wifi driver .inf file not installed, this gives error code 37, net28 installed fine.
    NO biggy i thought, so tried updating/uninstalling however,
    Windows encountered a problem, device installation failed,
    this message appears on both updating/installing/uninstalling.
    Note tried WU and Manufacturers drivers, current/previous versions
    Troubleshooter does not correct the problem.

    Im trying to fix it system wise not clean install route.

    Had the same problem with my HP laptop with Ralink 3290 wireless card. Most recent Windows update killed my wireless card. Was working perfectly before. Tried various driver updates and no fixes so far.
