    Insider Preview 14915 broken

Just got it updated while I was out fixing other folks' problems, got back and the computer wanted to restart. Now I get no text on the various screens during startup, just blank dialog boxes. Can't get any program icons on the Start menu, can't get Settings show any of the choices to find the way to go back to 14905 which worked just fine. Can get to some of the things on the right-click of the Start button, need to find how to go back to 14905 from a Command Prompt. The icons on the Taskbar will bring up programs which lets me do a few things such as get this screenshot:

I can get Settings to come up but again no text in it.

Just no text, or the links are broken too? Because, we could guide you to click correct choices, or you can check on some other PC...

sfc /scannow doesn't help either probably...

Which PC CPU ,AMD or Intel platform ?

EDIT : looks like someone in the know replied below

My my now 4 Intel PC's and chip sets give me a lot less grief (none ) and same so far on this new Haswell Core i5 desktop in my specs than any of my AMD's over the years and morover the AM3 platform Phenom II x6 PC this replaced that was often a BIG headache in the 6 yrs I had it whereas the old Core Duo other 2 more recent 2,3 gen Core i7 Intel PC's here been smooth as butter all along , besides IMO AMD hasent had any plausible alternatives to Intel since a short while with the Phenom II x4 and II X 6 until the Intel Sandybridge Core X CPU's eliminated that performance plausibility in a desktop outside of maybe some favorable price compromises .

The reason I'm asking is obviously my AMD AM3 platform while not a bad performing PC was a bust compared to the Intel platforms here when making changes or with new drivers and performance against this Core i5 and the desktop Core i7 here and that platform and my specific Nvidia AM3 chip-set and OEM MBR BIOS frequently did not like drivers ,updates ,driver updates HDWE upgrades and things as well as my OEM Intel platforms so ...........

Hi again Berton. i found this at reddit (forgot about it..):

Hold Shift while clicking restart. This will send you to the Windows 10 boot options where you'll be able to choose 'Go back to the previous build'.

That wouldn't work, seems the update also took out the USB drivers when I did a power-off reboot.

And for the CPU question it's an Intel Core 2 Duo in a Dell Inspiron 530S computer, never any problems since starting with Insider Preview way back a couple of years ago when first offered it. Fortunately, I always run BETA/Test versions of an OS on its own machine, not on my production computers.

So you are blind, deaf and dumb so to speak..

Restart again, if nothing else works do an inplace upgrade. Boot with USB and select repair installation.

Edit: check some other (hardware) options first - check BIOS settings and graphic card contacts, etc. Then restart two or three times

The BIOS is MBR. I had used the computer just before 8AM and left at 9:30AM, got back around 12:30PM and did the prompted Restart. I've build a navigation chart [road map] to get to the places I needed to be [Braille would have been nice] and have started the go-back to 14905, looks like it may work. Will have to use a wired mouse and keyboard instead of wireless until it's finished.

Sounds like a good plan. Glad you have input options. So, menu items are live (clickable), just the text is invisible?

Edit: @Berton did you try to reset your graphic card settings?
