Still stuck on this build, and now my computer will start rebooting every few hours from 1 October onward. Don't think there'll be a slow ring build out soon. I tried running the latest slow ring build's installation but it says my Windows is installed in an incompatible directory whatever that means (it's c:\windows, folks).

You might consider doing a clean install with the latest Insider build ISO, then see if you're able to update to the latest build via Windows Update afterwards.

Yes sure, but I really don't want all my files and programs to be gone at this juncture.

Are you able to back up the files?

Of course but I can't afford to spend a full day reinstalling and reconfiguring all my software :/

This will nearly always work but needs some patience.

Install an unactivated copy of release version of windows 10 in a vm or vhd or dual boot or whatever. Then join Insider version in that install, and after a couple of days or so, that will upgrade to latest Insider version.

Then copy the install.esd file and convert it to an iso (see section E in tutorials).

You will then be able to use that iso to upgrade your Insider version.

Thanks, cerberus, that's indeed an elaborate but clever solution. However, isn't that the same thing I did as when I downloaded the latest insider build ESD from wzor?
