FYI - Problem with MalwareBytes AntiExploit in build 10074

I noticed problems with my build 10074 install (upgraded from 8.1 - not a clean install) and found that it was getting progressively worse (mostly internet problems). I also noted that MBAE had started posting a notice that it was protecting Firefox and it's add-ons whenever I launched it. I had recently updated it as it told me that the old version was outdated.

I uninstalled it and the problem went away after a few reboots.

No problems with mine either(clean install). Maybe some cruft from upgrading? You've already uninstalled it, now maybe try Windows cleanup to get rid of the upgrade cruft, then try reinstalling.(I always keep all my latest installers on an USB using save when downloading)

I ran it recently in both Win8.1 and build 10074 and I didn't have an issue.. but that was with my PC set up and YMMV..

I see this on my Dell 15R laptop. Constantly getting MBAE notices about protecting Firefox when I actually use Seamonkey. This laptop has been upgraded with each built from the first all the way through to 10074 with no significant problems.

I've never been a fan of upgrading from one OS to another - and this seems to prove that my theories on this are correct.

You can safely upgrade a clean install of a previous OS - but not if you've used it for a while.
As you add stuff, tweak stuff, etc - the upgrade becomes more tangled and less reliable.

I've tried this with each OS since Vista and must admit that the process is getting better.
But it's just not ready for "prime time" yet.

Exactly... I reinstalled Windows 7HP-updated-and reinstalled all the programs that I use(not collected:)) to UEFI(was MBR before), and after not installing Samsung Magician no more BSOD's, or any other problems after upgrading.
I guess cruft doesn't effect a working system, but with an OS upgrade, it can cause a lot of corruption.
