    Yes it was installed yesterday.

This morning, no problem with the start manu (quick view), but there is still the problem with cortona (doesn't appear, and after click, start menu also doesn't appear)

Sadly this isn't showing up for me in Windows Update. Can't find any download link for Windows10.0-kb3061161-x64.cab

As always, online upgrade is the easiest but not the best way to get the latest builds. Almost always, it kills something. And it takes more time to try to fix it than to do a clean install and reinstall your programs as you go along. You don't need to reinstall everything at one time.

    What programs are running?
I had Start10, Snagit, Windowblinds (didnt work properly) BitDefender, Logitech Control Panel and DisplayFusion. I tried turning them off to see if it made a difference but just kept going round in circles. After a clean install all worked well until a reboot then the same thing. With that which made three upgrades/installs of 10079 I went back to Windows 8.1. I just got fedup with reinstalling my software etc.

I ran into the same problem, no start menu and notifications not opening. Tried a refresh but that did not help. Did a clean install, same as my initial installation, and so far so good. Of course I've yet to re-boot to see what happens. All updates have been installed. Will let you know how it works out.

start10 causing your issue maybe, I mean really ,your evaluating win10 and you run a 3rd party start menu

Played around in Win 10 for a while and everything went well. Re-booted into 8.1 and all was fine. Re-booted back into 10 and argh...no task bar/start menu! Hit the Win key and the task bar/start menu came to life. Not sure if the re-install fixed it or the power shell command that is available for fixing the menu. Either way everything seems fine at the moment. More experimenting is in order, add external drive, joystick, and a few other things.
