I would love to see the OEMs and those who build sound, video, printer, etc., drivers give us beta drivers to try with Windows 10. I have looked and looked on HP and Brother sites and cannot find anything Windows 10 beta, which I would be willing to try. Especially since I've had some issues with both.

Right now, Windows 10 doesn't see either of my wireless printers; one HP and one Brother.

Wenda, I am 100% with you. What we are seeing right now does not deserve our support. But I am still hoping that they turn the wheel around and give us an exiting new OS that makes sense.

I don't need any cantana or holographic design tools. I am on a plain old desktop and want to do my daily chores. But right now it looks worse than Vista and Windows 8 ever was and they do not have a lot of time to fix that.

There are some enthusiasts around here that think we are W10 haters because we spell out what we see. But that is a cheap call. The shortcomings of W10 should be clearly identified and where appropriate be reported back to MS. Only that way will we get a better product - if they listen.

I think it is interesting to observe users desktop screen shots. Most all have a lot of shortcuts/icons in the task bar or menu's to help them do things that they are used to doing in the Win7 days. I confess, that after all the clean installs from the latest version (74) to many versions in the past, I have to "fix" it before I can "use" it. By itself, to me the interface is in the way. I just hope MS is saving the best until last, just not feeling it yet!

Agreed, Meebers. Although I am one of those who wants my desktop screen to be absolutely clean so I can actually see the background I've put up (I enjoy seeing my bright sunflowers every morning), there are many things I need to fix.

    1. Set up Quick Launch
    2. Open Device Manager to check drivers
    3. Install basic programs needed
    4. Clean up Start

You get the picture. I am looking forward to the day I can "fix" my last install of Windows 10.

Hopefully, that last install will be "clean" from an ISO, rather than an update.

    Hi All,
Of course I'm running build #10074, I'm still having several issue's..I think the one that concerns me the most at the moment is the one that seems to have been what I call a 'carry-over' from the previous build I was running(10061). It's the yellow ! triangle that's showing up under my laptop, I'm enclosing a screen capture of it. Also, I keep receiving an error message while trying to download / install update's..mainly for windows defender. I saw somewhere on a website where microsoft has released an additional update for build #10074 to fix some issue's with this build, but so far it hasn't been offered to me yet. I'm also seriously thinking about reverting back to windows 8.1..at least it's more stable. This morning I performed the following @ admin. command prompt, it reported that some error's were found, and were repaired. I still can't install windows defender update's..is it me or do other member's of this forum think this build is a step backwards ?

To Run SFC /SCANNOW Command in Windows 10

    Note
This option scans the integrity of all system files and repairs files with problems (ex: corrupted or modified) when possible.

    1. Open an elevated command prompt.

    2. In the elevated command prompt, type the command below, and press Enter. (see screenshot below step 3)

    sfc /scannow

The driver issues are almost certainly intentional. Its hard to identify them if people just keep running old drivers, they only get fixed if enough people scream about it.. and if your drivers keep getting replaced with broken ones, then scream about the broken drivers in the feedback tool so they can get fixed.
And why force everybody to install drivers assuming everybody has touch-pad screens?,

It would be nice. As soon as it updates my Symantec's drivers, the touch pad stops working. It then have to remove the device reinstall and reboot.
Usually good for a couple of reboots, then have to do it all over again.

After a couple of day's (only had 74 since Saturday) I'm finding most of the live tiles are fudged on this iteration. Can't change weather from London UK(why London?) to Bamberg Germany, the mail app doesn't show any incoming & the calendar isn't showing the date, funny is on 9926(the best to date) I had everything working(except update) including SFC&DISM and Store beta where most others didn't, and since then, it's been down hill, be it an upgrade or C.I. (clean install). I'm not mad or disappointed-but a bit frustrated that things that work fine, get broken.

    Send me the next build!!!!

I have no idea why someone would do that, since there's no such thing as a "touch pad screen". What exactly are you talking about? Either it's a touch pad, or it's a touch screen.. and I've never seen Windows 10 install drivers for either if you don't have one...

Although, if you're using a laptop, you may be in the situation where the hardware exists internally, and is identified by Windows, but they did not install the external hardware to save money.
