That doesn't work on my install (I just get web results).
If I select "Search my stuff", I still don't get the results that your screenshot shows.
I can get to it via the "Ease of Access" section.
I'm not sure why MS has been making "Personalise" more and more annoying/difficult to use.
The various settings are now scattered over multiple sections!
BTW, is it possible to kill the web search yet?
One cool impression I get is in the start menu, when the live tiles change they become cubes that roll. I tried to get a window capture in mid-roll, but can't either time it correctly, or it's not possible(most likely the former). So Microsoft has mini cubes now, great would be that the new Task View(Desktops) could do it too like with compiz:).
It took a few tries, but I caught one in mid roll.
Here's the thing I don't get though:
They are trying to make the whole OS clean and super fast by cutting down on resources and making everything look 'plain jane' and white, yet they seem to be adding more and more animations all the time.
I need my OS to sit still but look good, I don't need elements doing any 'dancing' on my screen.
Edwin, you see it through the eyes of someone who works all day with a PC:
Today's "typical" social media-youtube-game playing junkie would say:I need my OS to sit still but look good, I don't need elements doing any 'dancing' on my screen.
Yeah!? But it looks cool.
I hear ya mate! :) It's all good, to each his own.
Here's a strange one for ya:
I had an 'olive green' as my accent color everywhere, taskbar, Start menu, windows and Cortana sidebar, but I changed the shade of PowerShell fonts a little lighter than that and it changed the shade of Cortana's sidebar!
Figure that one out!
I find in windows that some parts have their own "skins" or color theming where it doesn't follow the normal API(like the Uni Apps. What I mean is maybe it uses a different but similar windowing. Maybe PS is some how related with windows search(which I find Cortana to be just a Star Trek version of).
Look here on my win8 I'm using a dark theme but except for the boarders PS & PS ISE are unaffected
